A Passing....
My sweet uncle Steve passed away on June 5 with my father and uncle Paul by his side. He was such a talented man and enjoyed his life immensly. He fought with stage 4 colon cancer and went out the way he wanted to. He was always sensitive about others and I knew that he didn't want my aunt with him when he passed, he didn't want her to have to go through that. So he waited it out until my dad got there, then 10 minutes later left this place and returned to our Heavenly Father. My thoughts and prayers are constantly with my aunt Jill and her sweet kids as they adjust to this new life without a hustband/father. The funeral was lovely and I'm very greatful that Jayson and I were able to drive to Vegas and attend it with my family. I really have a great supportive family, and even though I know we drive eachother crazy about dumb things, we are always there to support one another. Bless you Steve and your family, and say hi to Grandma for me while you're there......
May & June
Well boy howdy!!
I've made it to June.....YAY!!! Want a review of the past month and a half???? I'm sure you do! So here goes,
May was pretty crazy to say the least. Along with the family birthdays and normal happenings of day to day life, work was a giant clock counting down the time till the end of school. My friend/co-worker Jocelyn had her baby, so we had to start the new hiring process and also train our new TA. We were SOOO blessed to get an awesome lady who is fun, bubbly, and LISTENS and LEARNS. I can't even begin to express to you how frustrating it is to hire someone, then have that person think either
a) They already "know" what to do
b) They pretend to listen to the teacher, then still goes ahead and does things "their" way or
c) Tries to do the least work possible.
Unfortunately my sweet boss has had to deal with all these types of TA's in the past, so it's always stressful and just NOT fun to have to hire a new person. But we LOVE our Ms. JoAnne!! Yay!
Anyways, so along with all that, My boss was also counting down the time until she finally popped. haha She was actually starting to progress in her pregnancy with contractions and other signs of possibly delivering....but baby Lann had other things in mind. I think he just really liked being in Crystal's tummy and didn't want to come out. So he actually held on for another 2 weeks then we expected. Needless to say, preparing a classroom for summer cleaning and getting the kids ready for summer /next year can get a little crazy. My boss decided to take the last week of school off and I'm so glad she did. She definitley needed the break and I would not have wanted her to go through all that stress. Anyways, sorry I keep wandering off on the convo =-p
FINALLY the last day of school arrived and.....I was an emotional wreck. First off, my boss and very good friend Crystal had-had her baby the day before and had a tough delivery. So I was thinking about her all day. Also, I still haven't decided what I'll be doing about work next year....and the realization that the last day of school could actually BE my LAST DAY was really getting to me. Plus, add on the fact that I'm 8 months pregnant wasn't really helping the situation. haha
Anyways, I tried to keep it together for most of the day, I gave EXTRA big hugs to the kiddos who won't be comig back next year, and went over to my mommy and cried. HAHA Yes, my mom also works at my school and thank HEAVENS For that, because she was the only one there who really understood what I was feeling, and it's always great having your mom there with you when you're crying. So the day ended, and my mom and I headed over (finally) to the hospital to visit my boss. I was so emotional with her because she is the sweetest, most caring person and I HATED knowing she had to go through so much to bring her sweet little baby into this world. The saying "sacfrificing your body" during pregnancy pretty much summed up what she had to do for baby Lann. As hard as her delivery was, she was the CUTEST mom and I LOVED seeing her finally able to hold her baby and be the mommy. What a great ending to a very emotional day. haha
Can I just add in a thought? I have been SO blessed to have met and worked so close with Crystal these last 3 years. I know we can all relate that when we get along with our boss the work is easier. I know I've been blessed with having more then a "working relationship" with Crystal. She's taught me so much about teaching and maintaining a classroom it's been so fun working. We became close friends and have gone through so many "first time" experiences in our lives that we were able to share together. I had Bentley while working, she was newly married when we first started working together. Then she got pregnant and it was so fun going through this pregnancy together. Anyways, now you can see why I'm always mentioning her and work ;-)
So the last day of school was over and done with, now....SUMMER!
It may sound silly when I tell people, but summer can be hard for me. Let me explain. I know I'm not the smartest tool in the shed, and I also know that I need to be constantly active/moving to be SOMEWHAT productive. I've always been like this. Sometimes I feel like I need to physically wind myself up in order to even get out the door. That is why work was always good for me. It held me accountible for my time and actions. It got me going for the whole day so by the time I came home I was able to (most of the time) accomplish the things which needed to be done. So when summer gets here, I don't have that responsiblilty to have to be anywhere at a certain time, and I really struggle with it.
As horrible as it sounds it was a VERY hard adjustment being home an extra 7 hours with Bentley everyday. It was just different. You have to understand that I went from splitting my time up between 8 kids and following a detailed schedule, to being home and having my little boy scream at me in my face because heaven forbid I won't let him play with the scissors. haha
It has gotten better though, I've been trying to plan my day out a day before so I know what needs to be done the next. And I also know that being pregnant this summer is another thing I'm having to deal with. I wish I could do more with Bentley physically but honestly, my body just won't let me.
I was really taken aback by all the pain I've had to go through with this pregnancy. I apparently have NO ligimant strength at all since the minute the baby started weighing more then a cantelope I've bad horrible ligimant pain that left me motionless for minutes at a time. It was very discouraging since it made work difficult but worst of all effected my play time with Benltey. There were nights where I had to have Jayson walk me to the bathroom because I couldnl't hold myself up. So to say the least, not the funnest part of this pregnancy. Everything else has been great though.
Can I just say how EXCITED I am that I'm having this baby in summer?! I knew there was no way I could have another winter baby with the two of them being so close in age. Bentley is at this great stage where he has tons of energy and he just wants to explore, so knowing I'll still be able to at least take him out front and play for a few minutes is such a relief. Plus, that means I get to also spend time with my boss and co-worker who have had their babies already. Yay for babies! And it's also a great time to catch up with other stay-at-home mommies and set up play dates. I really do have the coolest friends and they really, REALLY put up with a lot from me. I'm an odd one sometimes and they always just go with the flow when I'm around, haha
Wow, so to make a long entry even LONGER........nah I'm just kidding. I'll post this then break up the other news I had. ;-)

EASTER!!!
Bentley LOOOOVED Easter this year! He definitley caught on to the concept of finding the eggs....he just wasn't too great at putting them IN the basket for later! He would find an egg, then try to open it, then eat what was inside. Needless to say, most of the eggs were empty (thank heaven). haha Isn't he so cute!?!
I have more pictures on my phone, I just have to get them off! Sorry!

Play Time With Cousins!
My cousin Shelby had her little baby girl Hazel exactly one week before I had Bentley. After the earthquake in Japan she and the 2 kids came home for a couple of weeks until things settled down. It was such a great time for us to get the kids together! Hazel is a doll and she and Bentley played pretty well together. Shelby's sister Brittany was also there with her 2 kids so it was great seeing all the cousins!
Past few months
Ugh! Where to start?! Not sure where, so I just decided to show off my hubby and boy for you. Bentley has been growing like a weed and it's been fascinating and sad all at once. I miss my baby......I miss being the only one who really knew what to do for him.....haha Although I miss the baby stage, I am really enjoying this "big boy" stage. Bentley is learning things SO fast and it's been great seeing him grow and expand his world. He know's how to make his mommy proud. I know he'll make an awesome big brother and that he will really help me out when Sister gets here. =-)
Prego Pics
I thought these would be fun to post. My friend Jocelyn already has had her baby and my friend Crystal is due for an enduction if her baby isn't here by Wednesday! Then......I'll be all alone....HAHA But I'm bummed because I KNOW I'm missing pictures....I just can't find them :-p
